Vote.

My mother always insisted that you never, ever should discuss who you were going to vote for or who you did vote for.

This information was private, like your brassiere.

As a result, I tell everyone who I am voting for and I am desperate to know who everyone else is voting for and why.

I am voted for Barack Obama this morning. Love my choice or hate it. It is my choice and as an American, I am proud to say that I can speak about it. No one will harm me for my decision. No one will take away from rights. The worst that will happen is we will disagree.

So, today, Election Day 2012, vote. And then talk about it, especially in front of your children. They need to know that Election Day is not about political ads or scandal. Election Day is about being an American.

Let freedom ring.
