She had physical disabilities that really just resulted in a gait that was less than smooth along with intellectual disabilities. Sports gave her more than anything she learned in a classroom in school. I give the coaches and her teammates at Upper Darby H.S. kudos. They took Kate in as one of their own. Even the other local schools they ran against respected Kate's grit. Today she's successfully living on her own, sometimes it's a little rough, like her gait, but my greatest joy is seeing her pride in her own success, much of which was fostered through sports. So kudos to the team at Temple, and The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. I'm sure your daughter will benefit from the experience, just as she is probably changing their lives. Thanks for the great post. The Temple LAX team gave Devon the inspiration to get better in all areas (coordination, strength, gait, social, etc..). The adoption with TU LAX was better then any physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Angela and I learned how to continue to live and give back....to share....to try and continue to make a difference.Danny Lamnoreply@blogger.com
